Link Building is Good
Link Building is the process of creating inbound links to your website or blog. Link building helps create link popularity, which is (according to most people) vital in how the search engines rank your website. The more quality inbound links to your site, theoretically, the better your rankings will be in the search engines. The key to building up a good ranking with link building is not just the sheer quantity of links, instead, you need to focus on building your links with good, high-quality, higher ranked sites. Link building is not just a quick and easy task. It does take time and effort, but in the end it can pay off! How do you build links? One of the oldest and best known is to find websites and blogs in your niche (those that have decent page rank), email the webmaster and ask to exchange links. Now, don’t expect a big response to your email, especially if you have a new site. Another way is to buy links from similar sites or from link brokers. Be warned though – many places that sell these links are not passing along the page rank benefit as Google recently stated to crack down on those sites. You can also build links by creating articles or resources that other webmasters link to. Write a compelling 500 word article and submit it to the top article directories. If it is good enough, you should start to see other webmasters using the article with a link back to your site! Link building is an ongoing process if you plan to increase your own page ranking and keep good traffic flowing to your site. Make a plan and stick with it … and you are on your way ;-)
